You can start off your poker career once you’ve received your $50 starting capital on your account at Cake Poker. You can also earn an additional $100 in bonus money while playing at Cake Poker.
This article will give you all the information you need to know about your starting capital and the $100 bonus.

Receiving your $50 starting capital
You must play with your $50 bonus within 2 weeks of receiving it on your Cake Poker account.
If you generate less than $50 rake within 150 days of receiving your free $50, or are inactive for 6 months, the free $50 or whatever amount remains, will be retracted from your account. Once you have earned more than 1,000 Frequent Player Points* (FPPs), you can withdraw the $50 with no time limit.
* Frequent Player Points (FPPs) are earned any time rake is taken from a hand. You will receive 1 FPP for every $1 in rake taken when you were dealt cards. For example, if your table was raked $1.25, you’ll earn 1.25 FPPs. When you play tournaments and SnGs, you will receive 7 FPPs for every $1 in fees.
Once you have received your $50, you can also start working on the $100 bonus.
Receive 33% Rakeback
You also receive 33% rakeback at Cake Poker as soon you have made a minimum deposit.
Payment: Rakeback will be paid weekly on Thursday (latest Saturday) for the amount that was raked between Wednesday (of the previous week) and Tuesday.
Current rakeback: You can see how much rakeback you stand to receive by clicking on „My Account” and then „VIP Status” on the left. The list is updated at the end of each day.
Player Points: As soon you are receiving rakeback, you will receive 0.5 FPP for each $1 raked. If your table was raked $0.80 for example, you will earn 0.4 FPP.
For tournaments and SnGs you will receive 3,5 FPP for every $1 of fee/rake.
Please note: If you chose to receive your free starting capital on Cake Poker, but the transfer could not be processed, you can still receive rakeback by making your own deposit. Just message our customer service through a ticket and your rakeback will be activated manually.
The $100 bonus
Payment: The bonus is paid out in $5 increments for every 83.33 FPPs you earn. To earn the entire $100 bonus you must collect 1,670 Frequent Player Points.
90 day time limit: You have 90 days to earn as much of the $100 bonus as you can. If you fail to do so in the allotted time, you can keep what you have earned.

Take advantage of the $600 first deposit bonus
You can also take advantage of Cake Poker’s $600 first deposit bonus offer. Note: You cannot play for both the $100 bonus and first deposit bonus at the same time.

For Beginners: Automatic Bankroll Protection
In collaboration with PokerStrategy.com, Cake Poker offers an automatic bankroll protection for beginners. As long as you have less than $300 in your player account or less than 1000 Frequent Player Points, you can only play on the following limits:
Fixed Limit Hold’em: Up to $0.10/$0.20
No Limit Hold’em: Up to $0.05/$0.10
Sit and Goes Texas Hold’em: Up to $1 buy-in (not including fee/rake)
Sit and Go heads-up tournaments are not supported, since they are not suitable for beginners and we therefore don’t offer a beginners’ strategy for this game type.
These regulations are consistent with our recommended bankroll management method and will help you get through the introductory phase with a profit. Once you have more than $300 in your poker account or more than 1000 Frequent Player Points (FPP), the automatic bankroll protection will be lifted.
It will also be lifted if you deposit additional money on top of the free $50 starting capital.
